I’m New to First Baptist! What can I Expect?

Welcome! First Baptist Church of Denver is a Christ-centered, multi-cultural and inclusive community of faith. We are warm, friendly, engaged, thoughtful and do our best to Biblically integrate our hearts and our minds as we journey in faith. Our messages are consistent with our vision to emphasize grace-filled living, Christian service to one another, and ongoing Christian growth. Our music is a blending of traditional hymns, modern worship, solos and special music, and regular performances of our Celebration Choir.

First Baptist Church of Denver is an oasis of peace, healing and renewal in the city. Though we are all human, we have a radical approach to welcoming all people without judgment. The barriers and boundaries that get placed in front us every other day of the week are removed here. We are a church where intergenerational friendships are valued, all members can be known by name, compassion and caring is the basis of our community, resources are shared generously, and where hands-on service is crucial to our own discipleship and the mission of Christ in the world. We celebrate this vision through the intimacy of a loving and growing congregation, the strength of Christian freedoms, and the reach of an inclusive spirit.

You will find our congregation a place where casual and formal meet; come how you feel comfortable! We celebrate open communion typically on the first Sunday of each month. Following our Sunday worship service, you are welcome to join us for fellowship and a light meal or snack in our reception, held in the parlor. It's a great way to mingle and find out what we're about! We also have regular events each month beyond our Sunday worship, offering you fellowship, spiritual growth and friendship opportunities in a variety of settings.
